DON'T FORGET THE INDEPENCE PART OF FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE

The world has gone mad.
Ecuador is not accepting any international flights. So I can't go there. The u.s. is not accepting any flights from Europe. And Europe is on its way to lock down. So I am enjoying Bulgaria.

The hospitals in north Italy are overloaded. Their respiration machines are in short supply. They don't have enough to go around. Even if you have insurance it would not do you any good.

People in Italy have to have a written affidavit explaining what they're doing out of their houses. If you're not providing for your family grocery shopping you will be fined and or arrested. To put things in perspective, 68,000 people died of the flu just in the few months of the flu season in 2013 in Italy.

In the u.s. over 100,000 people die from the flu annually just in the three or four months of the flu season. All of the people that are dying in Italy are over the age of 60 and have/had pre existing health conditions. It was Hippocrates that said: "let food be your medicine".

If food can be our medicine, how much sense does it make to be taking our medicine on a regular basis as a preventative rather than just when we're not feeling well.

The second word in FI is Independence. Independence is the absence of being dependent. Real Financial Independence is not getting a lower rate on your health insurance, it is not needing insurance.

Let us take care of our bodies today. Take a look at this article and see how many of these things you can do on your own without depending on any one else or any institution.
