Podocarpus National Park outside of Vilcabamba consists of thousands of acres, numerous wildlife; flora and fauna; and several self guided walking trails. The park has longer-self guided trails you can hike, however, the brochure says it is advised to take along a bilingual tour guide for the longer hikes, but you do not have to. Podocarpus is a beautiful reserved area of Ecuador.
