There's a lot to like about Panama City. There's numerous restaurants, shopping malls, grocery stores and wonderful infrastructure. We experienced better Internet on the Panamanian coast than on the Ecuador coast. Roads are decent, transportation is excellent, health care is good according to expats that have used it, the country as a whole is diverse, and Panama City is a lovely city with pleasant people and wonderful bay views! And for a city with big, tall buildings and lots of cement, Panama city is loaded with greenery, which makes it even prettier. We'd definitely visit Panama again!
