We Lived on $1,500 in the USA Just 5 Years Ago!

We did not move to Ecuador and then become frugal. We already were self sufficient and frugal before moving to Ecuador. We always have been good at saving money and still living a comfortable lifestyle and so coming to Ecuador and building our own furniture and seeking out value rents and learning to negotiate and shop smart is nothing new to us. That's why it's not that much cheaper for us to live here than in the US.
